Abstract

To present an oral communication or a poster, it is necessary to send an abstract in English of 300 words maximum and indicate in the comments section ‘Yes’ if you intend to submit an article in the special edition later on (‘No’ otherwise).

Abstracts are to be submitted between February 28 and April 15, 2025.

Notification of acceptance will be sent in May.

A compendium of abstracts will be distributed to the participants of the symposium on USB stick.

Given the limited number of oral presentations and after evaluation by the Scientific Committee, a request for oral communication can be requalified as poster.

Oral communications

The presentation of an oral communication is triggered by sending a summary and after acceptance of the Scientific Committee.

  • Oral presentations should be exclusively in English.

  • Presentations must be compatible with Windows 10 and be produced in Microsoft Windows PowerPoint (slide format 4:3) or in PDF formats readable by Adobe Reader.

  • Videos must be compatible with VLC software (avoid too high resolutions).

  • Presenters should copy all videos and audios attached to the presentation in the same folder together with the presentation.

  • Standard oral presentations will last 15 minutes. The duration of ‘flash talk’ presentations is 3 minutes.
  • In the case of ‘flash talk’ presentations, the number of slides is limited to 5.

Posters

The presentation of a poster is triggered by sending a summary and after acceptance of the scientific committee.

  • Posters should be exclusively in English.

  • The imposed format is A0 size (841 mm x 1189 mm), in portrait orientation.

Posters should be put up on Monday (September 8) morning (NOT possible before this day) and may be left up until 17:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9.

A special issue of Aquatic Living Resources ("Diamond" open access journal) is planned.
